Angela 'A.J.' has been drawing and writing short stories since she was six years young! She learned to read long before starting public school in Washington, D.C. Her passion for art and history combined in 2009 laid the foundation for Black History Coloring Books. This collection of illustrated history books is designed to educate readers ages 8 to 88...and beyond! At Blackhistorycoloringbooks.org, we offer a wide range of history books that celebrate Black history and culture.

Nationwide, retailers, churches, schools, elderly homes, and community centers have incorporated Black History Coloring Books. Annually Blackhistorycoloringbooks.org has donated books via our Adopt-a-Classroom, Adopt-a-Block, Adopt-a-Family initiative. This grassroots effort ensures that readers in the community have access and resources to obtain their Black History Coloring Books. From elementary and middle to high school and college, this collection is a great teaching aid and learning tool to support Black history education. For students, parents, teachers and history buffs of all ages!

Laying the foundation for learning requires a winning team at home with the parents/guardians, the first teacher. Having a strong home library is your ammunition to plant seeds necessary to harvest success. Black History Coloring Books offers a set of illustrated history books designed for youth and adults as a fun way to engage and learn about those missing black history lessons that were somehow left out of the history books and currently being removed from schools nationwide. Let's keep OurStories alive - as we continue to read, study and learn about ourselves.
